Privacy Policy for “Pog Log”
Effective Date: 2024-12-16
This Privacy Policy outlines how “Pog Log” (the Extension) processes and protects your data. Let’s keep it simple: we don’t collect, store, or share your personal information. Everything happens locally in your browser, and the data lifecycle is as brief as your export session.
1. What the Extension Does
- Lets you export visible text from a webpage into a `.txt` file.
- Operates only when you activate it, capturing the displayed text temporarily to generate your file.
- Does not save, share, or store any of this data beyond the moment of export.
2. Data We Access
- Website Content: Reads only visible text from the active tab when you request it.
- Toggle Preferences: Stores your preference for enabling/disabling the feature locally or via Chrome Sync.
- No tracking, analytics, or personal identifiable data collected.
3. Data Collection, Use, and Sharing
- Collection: Temporary, user-initiated text export only.
- Use: For generating a `.txt` file for your local download.
- Sharing: None. The Extension has no servers or third-party integrations.
4. Permissions
The Extension requires permissions like `activeTab` and `tabs` to function. These allow it to read content from your currently active webpage only when prompted. We’re not snooping—just following browser rules.
5. Security
- Runs entirely within your local browser.
- Does not store data or make external connections.
- Reviewed to prevent accidental data exposure.
6. Data Retention
We don’t retain data. Text is processed momentarily for export and forgotten immediately afterward.
7. User Choices
Don’t want to export text? Don’t click the button. Disable or uninstall the Extension anytime—your call.
8. Changes to the Policy
We’ll update this policy if features change. You’ll always have the latest version here, and no hidden surprises.
