Terms of Service for GateKeeper

1. Introduction

AgeGate is a Discord bot designed to assist server owners with age verification, access control, and role management. By using or inviting AgeGate to your Discord server, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Bot Usage

• You must be the owner or have administrative permissions to invite and configure AgeGate in a server.
• You are responsible for how AgeGate is used within your server, including any automated actions taken (e.g., kicks, bans, role assignments).

3. Data Handling

• AgeGate only processes limited user data necessary for its core functionality (e.g., User ID, inputted birthday, role assignment).
• Birthday data is processed in-session and is not stored long-term.

4. Prohibited Use

• You may not use AgeGate to harass, exploit, or target users.
• Do not reverse-engineer, resell, or rebrand the bot without permission.
• Use of the bot must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service.

5. Availability & Liability

• We strive to keep AgeGate online and functional, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime.
• We are not liable for loss of data, server disruptions, or misuse of the bot by server admins or users.

6. Termination

• We reserve the right to remove access to AgeGate from any server at any time, for any reason, especially in cases of abuse or misuse.
• You may remove the bot from your server at any time to terminate use.

7. Updates

These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the bot after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
